This policy explains what the office of Dr. Shankar Ghosh, MLA Siliguri (26) and Minister-in-Charge of Tourism & Parliamentary Affairs, Government of West Bengal, does with the information you send through shankarghosh.in and the Shankar Ghosh mobile app.
What we collect
Only what you type into a form. Nothing is gathered in the background.
- Lodging a complaint: your name, mobile number, email address (optional), your locality, the category, and the details you write.
- Booking an appointment: your name, mobile number, preferred office, purpose, date and time slot, how many people are coming, and any note.
- Inviting the Minister: the organiser and organisation name, a contact person, mobile number and email address, the date, timing, venue, purpose, special guests and remarks.
- Volunteering: your name, age, mobile number and the areas you can help with.
- Every submission is also stamped with the time and your IP address. The IP address is used only to stop the same person flooding the forms, and is not used to identify you.
Why we hold it
To act on what you sent, and to reach you about it. A complaint has to be routed to the right desk and followed up; an appointment or invitation has to be confirmed by phone or email. That is the whole purpose.
What we do not do
We do not sell, rent or trade your information. We do not use it for advertising. This site runs no analytics, no tracking pixels and no advertising cookies — there is nothing on it watching what you read.
Cookies and local storage
The public site sets no cookies. It saves two small items in your own browser, on your device only: your language choice (English or বাংলা), and the last reference number you were given, so the tracking box is already filled in when you return. Clearing your browser data removes both.
The office panel at /admin/ uses one sign-in cookie for staff. It
holds no password and expires after eight hours.
Who can see your submission
Staff in Dr. Ghosh's office who are signed in to the office panel. Accounts are role-based: a person who handles the visitor register cannot open complaints, and a team member sees only the tasks assigned to them. Where an invitation is approved or declined, the panel records which member of staff did it.
Where it is stored
On Cloudflare's platform (database and file storage), reached over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Cloudflare operates data centres in several countries, so your information may be stored or processed outside India.
Fonts
Page fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. Google receives your IP address when that request is made — this is the one third party the page contacts, and it is used only to deliver the typeface.
How long we keep it
Grievances, appointments and invitations are kept as a record of what the office was asked to do, and are deliberately not deletable from the panel. If you want your submission removed, write to us and say so, quoting your reference number.
Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, ask for it to be erased, and complain about how it was handled. Write to the address below with your reference number and we will respond.
Children
This site is not aimed at children. Please do not send a child's details through the forms unless you are their parent or guardian.
The app
The Android app shows this same website inside it. It collects nothing on its own, contains no advertising and no analytics, and asks for notification permission only so the office can tell you about a reply. Declining that permission does not stop the app working.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.

এই নীতিতে বলা হয়েছে, ডঃ শঙ্কর ঘোষ — বিধায়ক, শিলিগুড়ি (২৬) এবং পর্যটন ও সংসদীয় বিষয়ক মন্ত্রী, পশ্চিমবঙ্গ সরকার — তাঁর দফতর shankarghosh.in ওয়েবসাইট ও মোবাইল অ্যাপের মাধ্যমে পাঠানো তথ্য নিয়ে কী করে।
আমরা কী সংগ্রহ করি
আপনি ফর্মে যা লেখেন, শুধু সেটুকুই। আড়ালে কিছু সংগ্রহ করা হয় না।
- অভিযোগ জানালে: নাম, মোবাইল নম্বর, ইমেল (ঐচ্ছিক), এলাকা, বিষয়শ্রেণি এবং আপনার লেখা বিবরণ।
- সাক্ষাতের অনুরোধ করলে: নাম, মোবাইল নম্বর, কোন দফতর, উদ্দেশ্য, তারিখ ও সময়, কতজন আসছেন এবং কোনও মন্তব্য।
- মন্ত্রীকে আমন্ত্রণ জানালে: আয়োজক ও সংস্থার নাম, যোগাযোগের ব্যক্তি, মোবাইল নম্বর ও ইমেল, তারিখ, সময়, স্থান, উদ্দেশ্য, বিশেষ অতিথি ও মন্তব্য।
- স্বেচ্ছাসেবক হিসেবে যোগ দিলে: নাম, বয়স, মোবাইল নম্বর এবং আপনি কোন কাজে সাহায্য করতে পারেন।
- প্রতিটি জমার সঙ্গে সময় এবং আপনার আইপি ঠিকানাও রাখা হয়। আইপি ঠিকানা কেবল একই ব্যক্তির বারবার ফর্ম ভরা আটকাতে ব্যবহৃত হয়, পরিচয় জানার জন্য নয়।
কেন রাখি
আপনার পাঠানো বিষয়ে ব্যবস্থা নিতে এবং আপনার সঙ্গে যোগাযোগ করতে। অভিযোগ সঠিক ডেস্কে পাঠাতে হয় ও পরে খোঁজ নিতে হয়; সাক্ষাৎ বা আমন্ত্রণ ফোনে বা ইমেলে নিশ্চিত করতে হয়। এইটুকুই উদ্দেশ্য।
আমরা যা করি না
আপনার তথ্য আমরা বিক্রি বা বিনিময় করি না, বিজ্ঞাপনে ব্যবহার করি না। এই সাইটে কোনও অ্যানালিটিক্স, ট্র্যাকিং পিক্সেল বা বিজ্ঞাপনের কুকি নেই — আপনি কী পড়ছেন, তা দেখার কিছু এখানে নেই।
কুকি ও লোকাল স্টোরেজ
সাইটটি কোনও কুকি রাখে না। আপনার ব্রাউজারে, শুধু আপনার ডিভাইসেই, দুটি ছোট জিনিস রাখা হয়: আপনার ভাষার পছন্দ, এবং আপনি সবশেষে যে রেফারেন্স নম্বর পেয়েছিলেন — যাতে পরে খোঁজ নেওয়ার ঘরটি আগে থেকেই ভরা থাকে। ব্রাউজারের ডেটা মুছলে দুটিই চলে যায়।
দফতরের প্যানেলে (/admin/) কর্মীদের জন্য একটি সাইন-ইন কুকি ব্যবহার হয়।
তাতে কোনও পাসওয়ার্ড থাকে না এবং আট ঘণ্টা পরে তা শেষ হয়ে যায়।
কারা দেখতে পান
ডঃ ঘোষের দফতরের যে কর্মীরা প্যানেলে সাইন ইন করেন, শুধু তাঁরাই। প্রতিটি অ্যাকাউন্টের নির্দিষ্ট ভূমিকা আছে: যিনি দর্শনার্থীর নথি রাখেন তিনি অভিযোগ খুলতে পারেন না, এবং দলের সদস্য কেবল নিজের কাজটুকুই দেখেন। আমন্ত্রণ গ্রহণ বা প্রত্যাখ্যান করলে কে করলেন, তা নথিভুক্ত থাকে।
কোথায় রাখা হয়
ক্লাউডফ্লেয়ারের পরিকাঠামোয়, এনক্রিপ্টেড HTTPS সংযোগের মাধ্যমে। ক্লাউডফ্লেয়ারের ডেটা সেন্টার একাধিক দেশে, তাই আপনার তথ্য ভারতের বাইরেও রাখা বা প্রক্রিয়াকরণ হতে পারে।
ফন্ট
পাতার ফন্ট গুগল ফন্টস থেকে আসে। সেই অনুরোধের সময় গুগল আপনার আইপি ঠিকানা পায় — এটিই একমাত্র তৃতীয় পক্ষ, এবং তা কেবল ফন্ট সরবরাহেই ব্যবহৃত হয়।
কত দিন রাখা হয়
অভিযোগ, সাক্ষাৎ ও আমন্ত্রণ দফতরের কাজের নথি হিসেবে রাখা হয় এবং ইচ্ছাকৃতভাবেই প্যানেল থেকে মোছা যায় না। আপনি নিজের তথ্য মুছে ফেলতে চাইলে রেফারেন্স নম্বর জানিয়ে আমাদের লিখুন।
আপনার অধিকার
ডিজিটাল পার্সোনাল ডেটা প্রোটেকশন আইন, ২০২৩ অনুযায়ী আপনি জানতে চাইতে পারেন আমরা আপনার সম্পর্কে কী রেখেছি, তা সংশোধন বা মুছে ফেলতে বলতে পারেন, এবং ব্যবস্থাপনা নিয়ে অভিযোগ জানাতে পারেন। রেফারেন্স নম্বর-সহ নীচের ঠিকানায় লিখুন, আমরা উত্তর দেব।
শিশুদের বিষয়ে
এই সাইট শিশুদের জন্য নয়। অভিভাবক না হলে কোনও শিশুর তথ্য ফর্মে পাঠাবেন না।
অ্যাপ প্রসঙ্গে
অ্যান্ড্রয়েড অ্যাপটি এই ওয়েবসাইটটিই দেখায়। নিজে থেকে কিছু সংগ্রহ করে না, তাতে কোনও বিজ্ঞাপন বা অ্যানালিটিক্স নেই, এবং বিজ্ঞপ্তির অনুমতি চায় কেবল উত্তর জানানোর জন্য। অনুমতি না দিলেও অ্যাপ কাজ করবে।
পরিবর্তন
নীতি বদলালে উপরের তারিখটিও বদলাবে।
